The Life Aquatic

Over the break, in and amongst Dan's latest house project (to be shared once completed / close to completion), we made an outing to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We'd been before, but literally every time we go, Nate is more and more engaged and amazed. It was pretty crowded, but apparently not even close to as crowded as the Academy of Sciences was. That place can be a real mob scene.

The Deep Sea. This tank was the only exhibit they had when they opened in the 70's, and it's pretty dang cool
Smile for the fish!

Scary shark. It's crazy that he didn't gobble up all the other fish in the tank, right?!

The splash room at the aquarium is one of our favorite spots. Check out this picture versus the next one almost 2 years before.

Nate, you look so young! Kerren, you look so young! :)

Touching starfish

Well-timed lunch at Bubba Gumps was quite good. Though not too many Gluten Free options, I must say.

I can't get over how electric the jelly fish are.

Anorexic jellyfish?

Nate is now a somewhat reliable point-and-click photographer. Bonus!
