Four Square

My baby boy is 4! I can't believe it. He can be so grown up sometimes: considerate, humorous, adventurous, competitive. His favorite super hero (today at least): Batman. His favorite dinner: pizza. His favorite dessert: ice cream sandwiches. His favorite putdown: "you're a Potatohead". His favorite compliment: "I like your (insert piece of clothing or jewelery)". On Thursday nights he helps Daddy take out the trash and on Friday afternoons he naps with Mommy. He very much dislikes his Mandarin class on Tuesdays, but is doing well in swimming (he's a guppy now!). His favorite activity these days is changing from one costume to the other to the other. Dan likens it to an Elton John concert. At night, when tucking him in, he wants me to sing either Blackbird, Lean on Me, or some made up Darth Vader/Spicy Sauce song (don't ask).

At Edison before the Birthday Ceremony with Thomas

Looking up to Teacher Anne, she's our kid guru!

Coloring in the blocks before the pictures go on the timeline

Mommy had a prime spot on a very comfortable chair that Teacher Anne wheeled into the room

Showing each picture around the class. Kiera shouted "so cute!" every time he passed by :)

So proud of the finished timeline!

Everyone enjoying the egg free cupcakes Mommy made. Nate got to sit next to a couple of his BFFs at snack time: Thomas and Dylan.

My little man on the way to Pump It Up for his birthday party. One of the last times he rode in this non booster seat!

Waiting for the green light from the Pump it Up people. Nate chose the alias "Crush Kid"

Get in line people!

The anticipation! Moments from the door opening.

Pump it Up is basically a play place with 2 rooms of over the top bouncy house things. When they get sick of one room: bring on the next!
Annabelle is clearly enjoying herself
They also have air hockey, which Dan played with Claire

Logan can't decide if he likes this thing
Clark Kent saves the day!

For a good 20 minutes, the kids ran around a bench. Um guys, what am I paying for??

Waiting for the 2nd room!

Cute!! I have bethrothed these two.

The 2nd room had mega slides

Nate shows us how it's done

Daddy takes a queue from Nate

Super heroes save the day!

Nate shared his birthday throne with BFF Kellen

The Dempseys celebrate Nate's 4th with an egg-free Coldstone cake. Kellen gets in on the throne action: honorary Dempsey!
