Nate's first big holiday!

We were in Kansas City for the holidays, it was the Bergers, Dempseys, O'Deas and Umans. Kathy went to town with food, as usual, making her bread, having every meal at the ready, and of course preparing a heckuva Thanksgiving Dinner. I was responsible for 3 of the dishes this year, however refused to put my name on the green beans.

We got to see 2 movies! At the theater! Quantum of Solace and Role Models. I don't know if it's because we haven't been to the movies in many months, but we very much enjoyed both movies. Quantum is kind of Bond meets Bourne and Role Models is just plain funny (though somewhat raunchy in parts, don't say i didn't warn you...).

Nate got to meet his Uncle Brian for the first time. We were all impressed with Brian's great baby instincts. Look how happy Nate is!!

Grammy bought Nate this adorable winter hat. It's sized 2-3 years but naturally it fits him. Pictured with Nate in this photo is Valentine's infamous gold bracelet which went missing an hour before she had to fly out. We're still checking Nate's pockets :)

Nate also got to meet his Great Aunt Mady!! We can't believe Nate went so long without meeting such key people. It shouldn't be allowed. He loves her trendy scarf. Aunt Mady had much fun cuddling the little guy and buying him some very cute outfits, natch.

We flew home yesterday. Nate's an old pro when it comes to flights, look how relaxed he is 'holding' down the fort. When there was a very odd, scary beeping sound that seemed to be coming from the exit door and for which we had to turn around and go back to the gate, Nate took it in stride. The noise, fyi, turned out to be a movie projector that its owner did not know how to turn off. Lovely.
