Vacation Getaway

That's right folks, the Dempseys finally went on vacation! The sleep thing could only keep us down for so long. We went to Colorado for a full wonderful week. I'll try to chronicle the trip through a serious of postings.

Covered in dog slobber, Nate enjoyed the doggie door more than the dog itself.

We stayed with our good friends Eric and Jenna, who live in Highlands Ranch. It's a large suburb of Denver, named one of the top 10 small cities in America. It was really fun to catch up and relax. They have an adorable 3 month old, Riley Elizabeth, who is as chill as her parents. I still can't believe they let us stay with them! ;)



Days before we headed out, Eric suggested we visit Tiny Town, where you ride a tiny train through a tiny town and have a tiny good time. Little did he know that not 3 hours before he suggested this popular tourist destination, they were having a debacle that will likely follow the for years. Tiny Town Train Toppled, Torturing Tourists! We googled Tiny Town to check it out, found an article about it and were very confused. The timing was crazy.

So on Sunday morning, when Eric said that Tiny Town was open for business, we were all aboard!

.... little did we know the trains weren't running that day.



Oh the disappointment!! Well, not really, but it was funny to tease Eric as Nate repeatedly said "trains. broken." in a very pathetic voice.



A tiny time was had by all.
