Explorin' the 'Torium

We were very lucky to have Grammy & Grandpa in town this past weekend, especially since it coincided with Dan's business trip to the most exciting parts of this country. He's still in Detroit now but is making his way back tomorrow. Thank God. Can you believe last night was my very first night alone with Nate? It didn't go great, but it went.

Nate's first trip to the Exploratorium was Sunday, and it was pretty awesome (though he's not their target demographic). Lisa and Kiera came too (Kiera is definitely there target market)! Here, Grandpa is showing Nate about water torque, or some such principle. This is also a great example of the string theory, I mean string cheese theory. Nate LOVES his string cheese, though Grandpa finds it quite messy.

















As everyone knows, Grammy has boundless energy and had so so much fun showing Nate all the fun things at the Exploratorium. Here she may or may not be showing him a piano suspended by cables that they dare you to stand under. Nate says: um, no thanks.
















I think this is a cool picture of the kiddos at the rave section of the museum. Kiera's dancing in the spotlight while Nate feels for the steam.

















Nate's favorite 'exhibit' by far was the mirror. Yes, just a mirror that he could see himself in. Kiera got a kick out of beach ball that is constantly suspended by a shoot of air, and a wall where your shadow is multicolored. If you haven't been, make a trip! http://www.exploratorium.edu/
