Easter House

If Nate could talk, he would say "oh man, Easter's the best." We drove up to Oregon and had a marvelous time with the whole Dempsey clan.

Here's a perfect example of Nate's excitement: grandpa pushes him way higher in the swing than mommy does. He wants to FLY....

Nate got to hang with the much cooler (but similarly clothed) cousins again, which also was the BEST. Dan played the role of whipping boy, and Nate very gamely got in on the roughhousing action. He even progressed developmentally this weekend, in my opinion spurred by the desire to mimic Thomas and James. I'll upload a video later where he learns how to climb a step all in a matter of minutes. Um, Nate? Buddy? Mom's not so ready for that.

There was much bonding going on, such as this with Aunt Meme- check out these two smiling at each other, I love it!

Nate also visited his very first McDonald's, and got to meet the man himself. They had a whole playzone but it was so cold and rainy that they shut it all off. We didn't actually purchase anything at the McDonald's, just used their bathroom for changing purposes. Annie and I will never speak of what we encountered in that bathroom.

We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, which all told wasn't that bad. Their breakfast was somewhat extensive. And thank god the bathroom was big enough for the crib, it is impossible for me to sleep in the same room as Nate. Believe me, everyone's happier when I sleep.
